Fiberlogy PLA+CF is a 3D printing filament in which classic PLA is reinforced with 10% carbon fibers. This enhancement provides higher stiffness, improved mechanical strength, and an attractive matte finish that effectively masks layer lines and gives models a professional appearance.
PLA+CF retains all the advantages of traditional PLA:
- low shrinkage
- dimensional stability
- ease of use
all while delivering significantly better mechanical performance. This makes the filament ideal not only for decorative prints but also for functional technical components and prototypes.
The carbon fibers give the filament both strength and a matte, carbon-like finish, highlighting the character of the models and masking layer lines. As a result, prints are both functional and visually appealing.
Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibers, hardened nozzles (e.g., steel) are recommended.
Printing Ideas and Applications:
- Functional prototypes
- Parts requiring increased stiffness
- Technical components with moderate demands
- Aesthetic prints with a carbon finish
